In 2027, Mexico has 7 days off for public holidays (including substitute days) and 7 other observances that are not days off. There are 4 breaks of three days or more; the longest is 3 days for New Year's Day (Fri, Jan 1 – Sun, Jan 3).
Mexico’s mandatory rest days are set by the Federal Labour Law. Constitution Day, Benito Juárez’s Birthday and Revolution Day are moved to Mondays to create long weekends, and in years when federal power changes hands, the inauguration day is also a rest day.
Holy Week, the Day of the Dead and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe are widely celebrated but are not mandatory rest days.
Holidays are calculated from current law and announced arrangements and are for reference only; the local government’s announcement is authoritative. Select a date to open it in the calendar.
