How the holidays work
The Philippines distinguishes regular holidays from special non-working days; both are proclaimed by the President each year, and pay rules differ between them.
Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha are usually proclaimed later in the year, and extra special holidays are often declared at short notice; future dates here are calculated, and official proclamations are authoritative.
Holidays are calculated from current law and announced arrangements and are for reference only; the local government’s announcement is authoritative. Select a date to open it in the calendar.
