How the holidays work
Singapore has 11 public holidays a year under the Holidays Act. When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is a holiday.
Dates for Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji and Deepavali are gazetted each year; for years not yet gazetted, this page shows calculated dates, which can differ from the official date by a day.
Holidays are calculated from current law and announced arrangements and are for reference only; the local government’s announcement is authoritative. Select a date to open it in the calendar.
